URL Change

Even though I have seen it spelled BOTH ways...maybe I'm reading poorly edited books(?) I have been asked by too many people why I spelled bedlem with an E so instead I just registered with an A and I'll use that to avoid confusion and annoyance.

Begin the Beguine

Beguine being a ballroom dance for those who didn't know.

I couldn't think if anything else to title my inagural blog post and as I type I'm listening to a not-so-fabulous redition of Cole Porter's Begin the Beguine.

I did know in advance what I wanted to name my blog. Boredom and Bedlam. Two things I am very familiar with as are most humans. Also I love the word bedlam...

I've been meaning to start a blog for many months now. I just didn't know how to start or what I wanted to write. I just want to write. I haven't really written anything in years and I feel that I'll be rusty to start. Be kind.

This will be a venue to write about everyday things. Not a journal more of a converstaion. Often times I will review the books that I've finished. So far this year I've read over a dozen books and I always review the ones I highly recommend.

I hope that writing will be as cathartic as I remember it being. I hope you enjoy this ride with me.
